St. George Illawarra Dragons vs Wests Tigers

  • St. George Illawarra Dragons
  • Wests Tigers NRL

July 4th, 19:30, Jubilee Stadium

The Tigers may be sitting in 11th spot on the ladder, but they haven’t exactly been consistent as of late. They have been heavily impacted by injuries, but did get Adam Doueihi back last time out. They also aren’t impacted by Origin this time out. Considering this, they have a lot of potential.

The home side has lost four of the last five, which includes losses to the Raiders, Knights, and Sharks. They have been playing better as of late, though. We all know winning is a culture, and the Dragons just don’t seem to have it right now. If the Tigers can play to their potential, they should win this.

Take the Tigers to win @ NZ$1.52.

Brisbane Broncos vs Cronulla Sharks

  • Brisbane Broncos NRL
  • Cronulla Sharks NRL

July 4th, 21:35, Suncorp Stadium

Where do the Broncos even go from here? The 2025 Premiers are sitting in 13th spot on the ladder, and now there’s talk about coach Michael Maguire’s position at the club for the future. They have lost a whopping seven games in a row, and there've been a couple of big losses recently.

The Sharks are coming off their bye, and will be looking to put their 8-27 loss to the Roosters behind them. Both teams are missing Origin players, but the Broncos may get Adam Reynolds and Ezra Mam back. If those two take to the field, this one could be closer than people think.

Take the Broncos to cover the spread (+6.5) @ NZ$1.90.

Newcastle Knights vs Dolphins

  • Newcastle Knights NRL
  • The Dolphins

July 5th, 18:05, McDonald Jones Stadium

Even with Origin stars missing from both squads, this one shapes up to be the game of the round. The Knights are sitting in fifth spot, and the Dolphins are in third. While the Knights didn’t play well, they still managed to pull out a win over the Tigers, 12-6, last time out.

The Dolphins also scraped through for a win last time out, beating the Warriors, 26-24, at Suncorp Stadium. The Knights have a strong hold over the head-to-head record with the Dolphins, winning five of the six total games played. I think the Dolphins are the in-form team, and even without Origin stars, they can continue winning.

Take the Dolphins to win @ NZ$1.72.
