The final game of the 2026 Origin series takes place on Wednesday, so we have just seven games this round. Which Origin stars will back up for their respective clubs? Canterbury Bulldogs vs Canberra Raiders
July 11th, 19:30, Accor Stadium
This is a critical clash for the Bulldogs and Raiders, as both teams are currently sitting outside the top eight. The Bulldogs are currently in 10th spot, and the Raiders are a couple of places down in 13th. The run to the final has well and truly begun, and the Bulldogs have managed to win their last three in a row.
The Raiders haven’t exactly been consistent at all this season, but they do welcome back Corey Horsburgh and Ethan Strange from Origin, Daine Laurie is back from suspension, plus Noah Martin and Josh Papalii. If all these players can click, they should be able to keep things close with the Bulldogs.
Take the Raiders to cover the +4.5 spread @ NZ$1.90.
Sydney Roosters vs Parramatta Eels
July 11th, 21:35, Allianz Stadium
The Roosters are at home for this game, but they are one of the most impacted teams thanks to Origin. How they perform in this game depends on how many of their Origin stars will back up. They’re up against the Eels, who are down in 14th, so you would think some of their stars would be rested.
Eels captain, Mitchell Moses, is likely back on deck, and with the way the two teams have been playing as of late, the Eels could keep this one close-ish. This would be especially the case if more Origin stars are rested for the Roosters. The +13.5 spread for the Eels seems excessive!
Take the Eels to cover the +13.5 spread @ NZ$1.90.
Manly Sea Eagles vs North Queensland Cowboys
July 12th, 18:05, 4 Pines ParkÂ
The Sea Eagles have dropped down to seventh spot on the ladder and have been a little hit and miss in recent weeks. Meanwhile, the Cowboys are right on their tails, sitting in ninth spot. While the Cowboys will be buoyed thanks to a 26-12 win over the Panthers last time out, it’s hard to go on the road and win in Manly.
These two teams did play in Round 7 this season, and it was the Sea Eagles that claimed a 38-6 victory. Expect Origin stars to back up for both clubs, but with this one in Manly, I have to give the edge to the home side. I think their ceiling potential is a lot higher than the Cowboys’.
Take the Sea Eagles to win @ NZ$1.52.
