NRL 2026 Best Tips Multi Bet of the Week | Round 9

NRL 2026 Multi Bet of the Week – Round 9
Last round saw a lot of high-scoring games. Are we on for the same type of attacking games in this round? The 2026 season keeps going from bad to worse for the Storm, who have now lost six games in a row. This is only the second time in the club’s history that they have lost six in a row. A win for the 2025 Premiers in the last round saw them move back into the top eight.

Sydney Roosters vs Brisbane Broncos
May 2nd, 21:35, Allianz Stadium
The Roosters and Broncos should be one of the most competitive games of the round. Both teams are coming into this game in some serious form. The Roosters have four wins in a row over the Sea Eagles, Sharks, Knights, and Dragons. The Broncos have won four of the past five games.
A lot of the Broncos’ wins have come without some of their star players as well. Now, we could see some of those players return for this game. Patrick Carrigan is back from suspension, and both Jesse Arthurs and Reece Walsh may also return. I’m sticking with the Roosters, though, who are at home and have more cohesiveness.
Take the Roosters to win @ NZ$1.43.
Cronulla Sharks vs Wests Tigers
May 3rd, 18:05, Ocean Protect Stadium
The Sharks have lost their last two in a row, and three of their last five, so they will be keen for a solid performance at home against the Tigers. Meanwhile, the Tigers have been flying; they have won four of their last five games, and their only loss was by one point to the Broncos.
The Tigers do come into this one as the underdogs, and I’m not entirely sure why. Yes, they are playing on the road, and the likes of Api Koroisau and Kai Pearce-Paul are out, but they’ve shown they can overcome both those factors. For my multi, I’ll be playing it safe and taking the Tigers to cover the spread.
Take the Tigers +5.5 @ NZ$1.90.
Penrith Panthers vs Manly Sea Eagles
May 3rd, 20:15, CommBank Stadium
Finishing up my multi with the final game of the round. The Panthers are up against the Sea Eagles. After a couple of shaky games, the Panthers put the Knights to the sword last time out, winning 44-12. The Sea Eagles have won four in a row and will likely face their toughest test in this game.
You probably won’t see any forced changes on the Panthers side of things, but we likely won’t see Corey Waddell for the Sea Eagles after he injured his pec. If the Panthers can produce something similar to what they did last time out, I think they will get the win.
Take the Panthers to win @ NZ$1.26.
