NRL 2025 Round 10

After the excitement of Magic Round last week, we enter Round 10 of the 2025 NRL season. The Bulldogs remain on the top of the ladder and thanks to a golden point win, the Raiders are sitting in second place. The Panthers looked back to their old selves last time out, getting the win and moving up to 15th position, pushing the Titans to 16th and the Eels to 17th.

Round 10 awaits, so let’s get stuck into some 2025 NRL predictions for all the action!

Parramatta Eels vs Dolphins

tip

Both teams are coming off losses in Magic Round and are sitting near each other at the bottom of the ladder, with the Eels dead last and the Dolphins in 14th. The Eels did play well in defeat last time out, going down 18-28 in Magic Round. Josh Addo-Carr got a double, making it six tries in his last four games. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him back it up again with a try in this game as well.

The Dolphins also lost their Magic Round game by 10 points against the Roosters, but it seemed as though they played worse in comparison to the Eels. They will get the likes of Felise Kaufusi, Kurt Donoghoe and Mark Nicholls back. However, the Eels seem to be on the up and are improving, so I think now is the time to get on board, especially considering they are playing at home.

Newcastle Knights vs Gold Coast Titans

tip

The Knights needed a win and they needed it bad. They turned up on the field in Magic Round and managed to snap a five-game losing streak with a win against the Rabbitohs, 30-4. After scoring three tries in the first 12 minutes, they only managed two tries for the rest of the game, but it was good enough to get the win over the Rabbitohs, who had a lot of key players out, either due to injury or suspension.

The Titans are on a five-game losing streak themselves and they’ll be looking to put an end to that on the road at McDonald Jones Stadium. It looks like the same 17 will line up for the Knights, with Kalyn Ponga overcoming a rib injury. The Titans will get a boost with Kieran Foran back for the first time this season and they’ll need him to step up from game one. The Knights have more confidence in this one and are playing at home.

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Brisbane Broncos

tip

It’s been a hard few weeks for the Rabbitohs with injuries and suspensions, but they do get back Latrell Mitchell and Jamie Humphreys for this clash against the Broncos at Accor Stadium. I have no idea who stepped out in the last game with the Panthers, but it wasn’t the Broncos, that’s for sure! Yes, it looked like the Panthers were back to their old selves, but to score just one try in front of a packed home stadium, it wasn’t what the doctor ordered.

Ezra Mam is available for selection after returning from a lengthy suspension, but it remains unclear if Michael Maguire will include him in the 17. The Broncos have won two from their last five games and the Rabbitohs come into this clash on a four-game winning streak. Both teams seem to be a little inconsistent as of late, but I feel there is plenty more upside with the Broncos, the team that has handed the Bulldogs their one and only loss so far this season.

Key NRL Betting Influencers - Round 10

A lot is happening this round, but here are the key factors that will most likely impact your bets:

  1. Josh Addo-Carr is on a great try-scoring run, scoring six tries in his last four games. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him extend his streak to five games against the Dolphins on Thursday.
  2. The Storm are the favourites against the Tigers and I can see why, but the Tigers are playing better and have been more consistent as of late; they should keep this one close-ish.
  3. Jason Saab, Jake Trbojevic and Josh Aloiai all return for the Sea Eagles. They are also playing at home and are fresh off the bye. Take them to win against the Sharks.

Canberra Raiders vs Canterbury Bulldogs

tip

Strap yourselves in, people - we have first and second on the ladder doing battle in the first game on Saturday. The Raiders got a hard-fought golden point victory last time out against the Storm and have managed to push themselves up to second place on the ladder. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs bounced back from their first loss of the season to take down the Titans last time out, 38-18.

Matt Burton is back for the Bulldogs, but it looks like Jacob Preston is facing a three-game ban for his crusher tackle in the team’s win over the Titans. All of this will cause a little reshuffle with players, so there is a little uncertainty around that. The Raiders are a team that’s on a five-game winning streak and they are playing at home, which gives them a good boost. I think the Raiders are in the box seat, but there’s still value in the Bulldogs.

St. George Illawarra Dragons vs New Zealand Warriors

tip

The Dragons were chasing the Tigers pretty much the entirety of their last game and they ended up going down 28-34. One has to think things would probably be a little different if they didn’t bomb that try, only for the Tigers to run the length of the field to score their own try. That loss means that the Dragons have won just two of their last five games. They do get back to Wollongong for this one, so the home crowd will boost them hopefully.

The Warriors played very well last time out against the Cowboys and have extended their winning streak to three. They are now sitting in the top four as well and to sweeten the deal even further, the great Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is expected to return for his first game of the season. The Warriors look to be another team on the rise, but winning at WIN Stadium is no easy feat. So, play it safe, taking the Warriors in the head-to-head market.

North Queensland Cowboys vs Penrith Panthers

tip

The Cowboys and Panthers had two very different Magic Round results. The Cowboys suffered a close loss at the hands of the Warriors. That loss put an end to the four-game winning streak the Cowboys were on. Meanwhile, the Panthers (and Nathan Cleary) looked as good as they have this season last time out, with a convincing 32-8 win over the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

The Panthers haven’t exactly been the most consistent team this season and are yet to string together back-to-back wins, but they do get a fairly significant boost with Brian To'o back in the frame. It was pretty much the Nathan Cleary show last time out and he’ll need his team to step up and help when heading to Queensland Country Bank Stadium. The Cowboys also have a good record against the Panthers, already beating them this season.

Melbourne Storm vs Wests Tigers

tip

The Storm, playing at AAMI Park. That’s a tough ask for the Tigers and the odds have the Tigers as the heavy underdogs, but they are playing as good as they have in years and what’s more, they are consistent. For the Storm, they could see Harry Grant back, which would certainly make things more difficult for the Tigers. The Storm will also be looking to bounce back after a heartbreaking golden point loss to the Raiders.

The Tigers are riding a two-game winning streak, but it looks as though Brent Naden will miss this game after injuring his knee in Magic Round. Craig Bellamy will have his team firing for this one in front of their home crowd, I reckon and while the Storm have lost a little bit of the consistency they are known for, it is difficult to see them lose two games in a row, especially at home. The line is a little too big for my liking, though, the Tigers should keep this close-ish.

Manly Sea Eagles vs Cronulla Sharks

tip

The Sea Eagles are coming into this one off a bye, so fresh legs will be in order and they must be feeling good about themselves after beating the Panthers in this last game, 26-10. The Sharks proved too good for the Eels last time out, winning 28-18. We see a raft of players back in the lineup for the Sea Eagles including the likes of Jason Saab, Jake Trbojevic and Josh Aloiai.

The Sharks are certainly a dangerous team and have already got the win over the Sea Eagles this season, 24-18, in Round 6. I just don’t know what we are going to get with each team, which always makes me nervous. However, I’m backing the Sea Eagles in as they are fresh off a bye and playing at home, not to mention that they will have some serious stars back on the field.
