Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Prediction

Crystal Palace haven’t scored a Premier League goal since beating Nottingham Forest on 11 October, and Liverpool are next up at Selhurst Park on Monday morning at 3am NZT.

Palace are 18th on seven points, while Liverpool are fifth on 15 after losing to Arsenal and Fenerbahce in the same week.

My pick in this Crystal Palace vs Liverpool preview pairs a Liverpool win with a goals line, and it pays just over $2. Grab it alongside any other betting promotions you’ve got live this week.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Analysis

Crystal Palace

Palace could hardly have had a worse start at Tottenham on 31 October.

Jean-Philippe Mateta was sent off in the 13th minute for a late, studs-up challenge on Micky van de Ven, and Palace spent the next 77 minutes chasing a game they were never likely to get back.

I thought they deserved some credit for limiting the damage with 10 men. But any team that’s leaked 21 goals in nine league games won’t be able to rely on damage limitation every week.

Dwight McNeil is their most useful attacker right now, and Pierre Sage started him in an advanced role at Spurs.

Yeremy Pino has been their most reliable scorer in Europe, with a goal in each of their first three Europa League games. Those after football tips on a Palace scorer will probably end up with him.

Palace beat Liverpool 2-1 here in September 2025 and won 3-0 at Anfield in the League Cup a month later. That was a different team under a different manager, so I wouldn’t read too much into it.

Team News: Mateta is suspended. Sarr, Tomiyasu and Riad are out.

Predicted Lineup: Henderson; Canvot, Disasi, Richards; Mingueza, Wharton, Kamada, Mitchell; Pino, McNeil; Strand Larsen.

Liverpool

Liverpool had 17 shots against Arsenal on 1 November and didn’t get one on target.

Alisson Becker’s loose pass gave Arsenal the opening in the 16th minute, and Kai Havertz finished at the back post. That defeat ended a five-game winning run in all competitions and left Liverpool nine points off the top.

Wednesday in Istanbul went wrong in a different way. They led Fenerbahce twice through Trey Nyoni and Alexander Isak, then conceded three goals from set pieces to lose 3-2. Andoni Iraola called them “cheap goals” afterwards.

Iraola made five changes for that game, so I’d expect a much stronger side at Selhurst Park.

Nyoni is 19 and scored his first goal for the club in Istanbul. I’d like to see him start again, but I suspect Dominik Szoboszlai gets the nod next to Alexis Mac Allister.

Away from Anfield, Liverpool have looked a lot more solid. They’ve conceded three goals in four league away games and haven’t lost any of them.

Team News: Frimpong, Bradley, Ekitike and Leoni are out. Gravenberch is a doubt.

Predicted Lineup: Alisson; Araujo, Jacquet, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Szoboszlai, Mac Allister; Gakpo, Wirtz, Barcola; Isak.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Stats and Trends

  • Palace have failed to score in five of their nine Premier League games.
  • Palace have won one of their four Premier League home games this season.
  • Liverpool have four clean sheets in nine Premier League games.
  • Over 2.5 goals came in each of the last four meetings between these sides in all competitions.
  • Liverpool haven’t won at Selhurst Park since October 2024.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Prediction

Palace have given Liverpool more trouble than most teams over the last 18 months, and I ummed and ahhed about tipping a draw at $4.20.

But I’ve come down on Liverpool’s side with this one still. Both teams played in Europe this week, but Palace’s game against Hoffenheim was on Thursday night, a day after Liverpool were in Istanbul.

I’m calling it 2-0 to Liverpool. Isak should start after his goal off the bench in Istanbul, and Palace have conceded at least twice in each of their last three league games.

I can’t back both teams to score at $1.62 either. Palace’s attack looks blunt, and I can’t see where their goals are coming from against Virgil van Dijk.

Alisson is a concern. He gave away the goal against Arsenal, and one more slip like that would turn this into a very different game.

I’ll be up at 3am for this one with a coffee, and I’ll probably have a look at the in-play prices on the best new betting sites if Liverpool score early.

Liverpool to Win & Under 3.5 Goals @ $2.15

Liverpool haven’t scored more than twice in a Premier League game this season. Their four league wins finished 2-0, 1-0, 2-1 and 2-0.

Only two of their nine league games have had four or more goals, and both finished 2-2 back in August.

A 2-1 or 3-0 Liverpool win still pays out.

At $2.15, I’m getting nearly 50 cents more than the straight Liverpool win.
