Serie A: Bologna vs Inter Milan - Betting Tips, Odds & Prediction

After securing a place in the Champions League semi-finals, Inter Milan turn their attention to domestic affairs and prepare to travel to Renato Dall'Ara on Monday morning. 

Simone Inzaghi’s men are favourites across NZ betting sites, but they are about to face a Bologna side that have won six out of their last seven home matches. The hosts do have some big injury concerns heading into this tie, but they still have enough ammunition in their arsenal to make life difficult for Nerazzurri.

Bologna’s strong record at Gewiss Stadium could not help them avoid a defeat on the road last week. Goals from Mateo Retegui and Mario Pasalic handed them a 2-0 defeat to Atalanta, dealing a blow to their Champions League hopes.

The Rossoblu have lost just once in their last eight competitive outings, but losing the likes of Lewis Ferguson, Lukasz Skorupski and Davide Calabria in recent weeks might halt their momentum.

Inter Milan 

Inter Milan held Bayern to a 2-2 draw in their latest game and won the tie 4-3 on aggregate to stay in the race for the Champions League crown. Now, they must focus on taking a step towards defending their Scudetto. 

Earlier, Inter had beaten Cagliari to keep hold of their top spot. However, with only a three point lead over Napoli, the defending champions would feel the need to keep their foot on the gas. 

Team News: The match will come too soon for Inter’s injured duo Piotr Zielinski and Denzel Dumfries.

Both teams have their own motivation to win this match and, as past results indicate, this fixture has seen some closely fought battles lately. A win would strengthen Inter’s title defence, while for Bologna, it would bring them to the wonderland of Champions League football. 

That said, Bologna have too many injuries to deal with at the moment. Inter have been an incredible side in Italy and Europe this season. Right now, we don’t think Bologna have the means to contain such a fantastic unit. 

We do expect Bologna to put up a fight, however. It should be a hard earned victory for Inter to take back to Milan. At this point of the season, they will be desperate to add all three points to their name, and offer lucrative odds on NZ betting apps.

Bologna should be able to find the back of the net in their homeground. In the reverse fixture, they held Inter 2-2 at San Siro. Because of this, we predict the hosts are likely to concede twice again, though they may only manage to score once in response.
