The women’s French Open final is set, with Mirra Andreeva and Maja Chwalinska set to go head-to-head for the title on Saturday after winning their semis yesterday. But four men still remain, with the finalists set to be determined when Jakub Mensik faces Alexander Zverev and Matteo Arnaldi takes on Flavio Cobolli on Friday. Check out our best bets for those two games below.
Men’s French Open – Alexander Zverev vs Jakub Mensik: Zverev to win in straight sets | $2.50 with Zoccer
This is probably the best chance of Alexander Zverev’s career to date to finally break his hoodoo and win an inaugural Grand Slam. His first task is to beat 26-seed Jakub Mensik, and while that will be no easy task given the form of the Czech throughout the tournament so far, Zverev has the weapons to get through this match relatively unscathed. The German has benefited from an incredible draw, with Mensik his highest rated opponent to date, but nonetheless he has played very well, winning four of his matches in straight sets and the other in four. Mensik will grind and make him work for it, but at well over even money odds with betting sites, Zverev is great value to put together another straight sets win.
Men’s French Open – Matteo Arnaldi vs Flavio Cobolli: Cobolli to win 3-1 | $3.75 with BetandPlay
Our second finalist will be determined in an all-Italian semi-final, following an all-Italian quarterfinal which Arnaldi won in a walkover after compatriot Matteo Berrettini was unfortunately forced to retire through injury. That was a much-needed rest for Arnaldi, who had endured a gruelling previous two matches, both of which went the distance to five sets. Cobolli, meanwhile, has been a bit more emphatic. He won his first three matches in straight sets and his next two in four, his latest a hugely impressive 4-6 6-4 6-4 6-4 win over world number four Felix Auger-Aliassime. He is the better player in this match, but his fellow Italian will not go down without a fight and should be able to snatch a set. At value, a 3-1 win to Cobolli looks like a good bet.
Men’s French Open – Matteo Arnaldi vs Flavio Cobolli: Arnaldi to record 7+ aces | $2.40 with Betista
This might seem counter-intuitive to the above bet, but if Arnaldi can stretch it to at least four sets then the numbers would suggest the odds available with betting apps for him to have 7+ aces are very generous. Excluding his walkover last round, Arnaldi has hit this number in three of his four matches this even, racking up a massive 17 and 18 aces in the third and fourth rounds respectively. Granted they were long matches, but even so he cleared 7 aces by a huge margin and if this match goes for any decent length of time, should do so again. With this being somewhat in opposition to the Cobolli 3-1 bet, a same game multi featuring them both could get some very decent odds.
