Chelsea vs Man United Prediction: Betting Tips & Odds

Chelsea vs Man United Prediction
Manchester United head to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday morning NZT, and they arrive 16th in the table with one league win all season.
Kickoff is 1:30am on Sunday 1 November. United have lost their last two games by a combined 7-1, and their captain spent the whole of the second one on the bench.
Chelsea aren’t in great nick either. Their 2-0 home loss to Tottenham ended a two-game winning run in the league, and they’ve squeezed in a cup trip to Anfield since.
In this Chelsea vs Man United preview, I’ve passed on the match result for my main bet and gone with a Chelsea angle that pays about three times your stake. It’s my favourite of this weekend’s football tips so far, with more upside than backing Chelsea outright.
Chelsea vs Man United Analysis
Chelsea
Stamford Bridge has seen 19 goals in four Premier League games this season.
Chelsea scored 11 of them, mostly in a 4-3 win over Brighton in August and a 5-1 thrashing of Bournemouth on 10 October. Tottenham then left with a 2-0 win on 24 October, helped by Mike Penders punching a corner into his own net.
Cole Palmer is back for this one. His second booking against Tottenham brought a one-match ban, and he served it in the League Cup in midweek.
I’d like to see Geovany Quenda start beside him again. The 19-year-old made his first Premier League start against Tottenham, and Morgan Rogers will need runners around him after moving up front against Tottenham.
I’m less sure about their defending. Chelsea have kept one clean sheet in eight league games, and Penders has plenty to prove after last weekend.
Team News: Joao Pedro, Martinez and James are out, as is Gittens. Chavarria is a doubt.
Predicted Lineup: Penders; Acheampong, Lacroix, Colwill; Neto, Caicedo, Henderson, Palestra; Palmer, Quenda; Rogers.
Man United
Michael Carrick named a league starting XI without Bruno Fernandes for the first time since taking over in January.
That was the 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth on 25 October, days after Fernandes questioned the tactics following a 4-1 loss at Como in the Champions League. He didn’t come off the bench, and United were 2-0 down at half-time.
I expect him back in. The club isn’t expected to punish him over his Como interview, and he trained with the squad on Tuesday. Whether he and Carrick are on the same page is another matter.
Their away form is the bigger problem for me. United are still waiting on a first away league win this season, and they’ve taken three points from four trips.
If you’ve got any goalscorer promotions running this weekend, Bryan Mbeumo is the United player I’d use them on. He took 24 shots in United’s first seven league games, and 10 of them were on target.
Team News: Shaw and Dorgu are out, as is Sesko. Rashford and Mainoo are doubts.
Predicted Lineup: Lammens; Yoro, Maguire, Martinez, Dalot; Baleba, Tielemans; Diallo, Fernandes, Cunha; Mbeumo.

Chelsea vs Man United Prediction
Chelsea’s trip to Anfield on Wednesday night could cost them here.
They had less than three days to recover from that match, while United have had six days off since the Bournemouth game.
I still think Chelsea win this fixture though. Palmer and Quenda should find room in front of Carlos Baleba, who only made his first league start of the season a fortnight ago, and having Fernandes back won’t fix that on its own.
BTTS at $1.50 looks about right to me, but there’s not much value at that price. Mbeumo could easily nick one on the counter while Chelsea’s wing-backs are high up the pitch.
I could be wrong about United. Teams in this sort of mess sometimes turn up when nobody expects it, and a happy Fernandes changes their midfield.
I’m going 3-1 Chelsea all the same.

Chelsea vs Man United - The Ultimate Bet
Chelsea -1.5 Asian Handicap @ $3.00
United have lost their last two games by three goals each.
Chelsea have won by two or more in two of their four league wins, and both came this month.
Fatigue from Anfield is certainly a risk, but I’ve factored that in. A 2-0 or 3-1 win still wouldn’t surprise me, and United haven’t looked capable of shutting a game down for weeks.
I’d take $3.00 over Chelsea at $1.80, and it’s worth comparing prices across your sports betting apps first.
