Luminance is one of the more experienced horses in the lineup and is another who brings in good recent form. With two places in her last three, she just faded last time out but could be fitter here after having a few weeks off.

VALUE BET – Foo Foo

Foo Foo could be a value play here. Unexposed compared to most in this field, she has only made two starts and has only been able to finish in midfield on each occasion. However, this is easier and she can’t be discounted.

Satomi could get punters off to a flyer in the opening contest of the day, as despite not winning, he has placed twice in her last four runs. His last run was unlucky where he just finished behind Early Times. He can go close again.

THE DANGER – So Like Zee

So Like Zee could be a danger here despite her big price. Despite being six years old, she has only raced five times and is clearly a late developer. She ran her best race to date when finishing third last time out and more improvement could come here.

VALUE BET – Zee Heights

Zee Heights has made 26 starts which has only produced one win, however that win did come last time out, and connections will be hoping for a quick follow up. There is no guarantee of a repeat here, but his most recent form is hard to ignore.

BEST BET – Wry Smile

Wry Smile will be a contender in the fifth race of the day. Having had all four of his last races at Cambridge, a change of scenery could help. He has two thirds from his last four starts and is one of the form horses of the contest.

THE DANGER – Camacho

Camacho could be the main danger, boasting a 24% place rate, he usually gives his backers a good run for their money. He won a prep for this six starts ago and returns to a distance where he has enjoyed success, and it wouldn’t be a shock to see him contend once more.

VALUE BET – Jakama Krystal

Jakama Krystal is arguably the most interesting horse in this field. Having comfortably amassed the most prize money, she takes a massive step down in distance and won’t find stamina an issue. The heavier the conditions the better and it will be interesting to see how she handles the pace.
