Quick Analysis:

This race isn’t exactly oozing with quality, and I think Speedy Henry is good enough to take advantage. We haven’t seen the gelding since May, but he had a tick-over trial earlier this month. He tends to do some of his best work when first-up (3:2-0-0), and I just can’t see any value in the favourite. The 5YO also has a recent placing here at this track, which was also in a BM64.

Quick Analysis:

Staying in Gosford for my second best bet of the day with Fovea. The filly comes into this one as the clear favourite, and brings in some excellent form throughout her short career. She kicked things off two runs back with a win and followed that up with a second-place finish behind Crescent King. Tommy Berry takes over in the saddle, and the 58kg the 3YO has to carry isn’t the worst.

Quick Analysis:

I’m heading to Mornington for my final best bet of the day, and Brutify looks difficult to beat. The mare is currently the narrow favourite, and I wouldn’t want her to get any skinnier, so take the price while you still can. The 5YO couldn’t get the job done as the narrow favourite last time out, but does boast a win and three seconds in her last five runs. She gets no favours with the wide draw, but is good enough to overcome that.

  • Truly Gallant was narrowly beaten as favourite at Geraldton last start and has placed in two of three starts as favourite. He can bounce back in Race 4 at Geraldton.
  • Catch Carter finished third at Geraldton last start and has a recent win at Pinjarra Scarpside. He can build on his recent form to claim a breakthrough win in Race 6 at Geraldton.
  • Pull My Finger finished third at Bairnsdale last start and has blinkers removed for the first time. He can benefit from the gear change in Race 8 at Mornington.
