Quick Analysis:

Duck For Cover is good enough to beat the favourite here. He comes into this one fourth-up, and hasn’t really had much luck so far this prep. The 7YO finished fifth last time out after being stuck wide with no cover. We see Pierre Boudvillain jump into the saddle for the first time this prep, which is a big advantage. I’m expecting a better performance here.

Quick Analysis:

Heading over to Lismore for my second best bet of the day, and Secret Rose presents a bit of value in my eyes, currently going around with odds of $4.20. It’s been a bit of a mixed bag so far this prep for the mare, but this looks like a good race to get back on track. Danny Peisley is in the saddle once again, and the pair have already won this prep at the Gold Coast Poly.

Quick Analysis:

For the Horsham Cup, it’s difficult for me to go past The Pendragon. The step up to 2,100m for this one looks ideal, and we last saw the gelding finish fourth in the Gold Nugget at Ballarat. He has been back at the trials since then, and should be fit and ready to go in this one. Harry Coffey takes over in the saddle, and I think barrier three offsets the top weight here.

  • Spiritof The Ocean has four placings from eight starts this prep and finished close to the winner at Townsville last start. She looks a strong chance to return to the winner's circle in Race 5 at Townsville.
  • Stylish Rosie led all the way to break her maiden at Ewan last start and is trained by Bill Kenning. She can follow up with another strong performance in Race 7 at Townsville.
  • Spirit Angel has recorded three placings from four starts this prep and returns just six days after her latest run. She looks well placed to feature prominently in Race 7 at Moe.
