Quick Analysis:

Only seven runners for the 2026 Group 1 Flight Stakes, and I have my eye on Bangkok Hottie. The filly has been going through the gears nicely this prep and is looking for the hat-trick of wins here after taking out the Furious Stakes and Tea Rose Stakes, both at Randwick. Kerrin McEvoy sticks, but the 1,600m is the query. She is good enough to get the job done, though.

Quick Analysis:

For the Group 1 Epsom Handicap, we’ve got a massive field with a lot of live chances. Attica really stands out for me, and Kerrin McEvoy gets another chance in the saddle. The gelding was impressive late in the Tramway Stakes, as he finished strongly for a third placing. He’ll be fitter with that run under his belt and drops from 58kg in that one to just 51.5kg here.

Quick Analysis:

Last, but certainly not least, we have the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes. The stallion is coming off a fourth-place finish in the Makybe Diva Stakes, and Craig Williams is back in the saddle once again. He goes from a 1,600m to a 2,000m here, and given the way he finished last time out, I think it looks ideal. He also has a decent second-up record of 4:2-0-1. It’s a good field, but he has the class to chalk up another Group 1 win.

  • The Next Episode resumes from a 19-week spell after winning his last two starts at Gold Coast and Eagle Farm. He can make a strong return in Race 6 at Flemington.
  • Aethelwulf is chasing five straight wins after another victory at Newcastle last start. Against this field, he is capable of extending his winning streak in Race 7 at Randwick.
  • Gram is always competitive and a track specialist with two wins at Eagle Farm. He can make his track experience count in Race 10 at Eagle Farm.
