The BettingTop10 team are back for one final set of tips to round out the week. So, if you’re having a bet on the horses today, make sure you take a look at our tips. Our three most confident plays of the day are based on several different factors like recent form, jockey/ runner relationship, track conditions, barrier draw, and more.

Today’s Best Bets

I’ve gone through all the Aussie racecards for today to lock in my three best bets. There’s plenty of action around the country, but I only have eyes for these runners. All the key details about my horse racing betting tips can be found here in this table.

Quick Analysis:

Bold Bordeaux gets winkers on for the first time, and I think that could really make all the difference. We haven’t seen the gelding since February, but he has been back at the trials multiple times, including once in early September (where he won). His last run was here at Sale, and he was good without being great. I reckon he’ll be itching to go, and the $4.40 is a great price.

Top Pick:

3. Don Pedro

Quick Analysis:

Heading to Dalby now, and it’s hard to go past the favourite, Don Pedro. There have already been five scratchings from this race, so we’re currently down to 10 runners. The old boy draws barrier two, and he comes into this one in winning form after taking out the Moree Cup last time out. Jockey Kayla Barker sticks with the 7YO once again, and she brings a 1.5kg weight relief.

6. Crocodile

Quick Analysis:

Crocodile is the favourite coming into this one at Sale, and he looks pretty hard to beat in my opinion. The gelding comes into this one second up (where he has a record of 2:2-0-0), after finishing second by just 0.25L at this same track. I reckon the step up to 1,415m. The wide barrier is a little bit of a query, but Jabez Johnstone is in the saddle, so that brings confidence.

Stats and Insights

  • Forbidden Riff has placed twice at metro level this preparation and drops back to his preferred distance. He can appreciate the return to 1,800m in Race 5 at Bathurst.
  • The Glen resumes from a 17-week spell after placing as the equal-favourite at Queanbeyan last start. He can make a strong return in Race 7 at Bathurst.
  • Jade Trees comes off a first-up win at Coffs Harbour and has a strong record when well supported. He can build on that winning return in Race 7 at Coffs Harbour.
