It’s all one-way traffic in the market for The Everest in 2026, and that’s with Ka Ying Rising. Now, there’s no value in the gelding, but with the form he’s in, it’s clear to see why he’s such the heavy favourite. He’s been competing in Hong Kong, and last time out, he ran a track record! The 6YO had a recent trial here at Randwick, and he should improve from that. Zac Purton sticks, and the wide draw isn’t a concern.

Taking a chance on Wine Dark Sea for the Caulfield Cup. The gelding presents decent value, especially around the place bet. He’s been in great form across the UK and Europe as of late, winning three of his last four, including a Group 3 at Newbury last time out. With just 54.5kg on his back, he’ll be flying and is certainly good enough to overcome the wide draw. A good run here could see him tackle the Melbourne Cup next month.

The 5YO is two-from-two so far this prep, winning the Winx Stakes first-up and then the Sunrise Stakes last time out, both at Randwick. She’s the best horse going around at the moment, and while there’s no value, anchor her in your exotics.
