Quick Analysis:

For the Group 1 Might and Power Stakes, I’m sidestepping the favourite, Sheza Alibi, who is just too skinny in the odds right now. Instead, Birdman presents good value, and he is certainly capable of giving Sheza Alibi a run for her money. He was very dominant in the Underwood Stakes last time out also at Caulfield, and the step up 200m doesn’t seem to be of any concern. Draws well in a small field and Ben Melham sticks.

Quick Analysis:

Heading to NSW now for the Group 2 Hill Stakes, and I’ll be on the favourite this time out. Under WFA conditions, Lindermann looks too hard to hold out, especially if he can get back to the form that saw him win the Chelmsford Stakes two runs back. Put a line through his run in the Underwood Stakes as this one looks way more suitable. Nash Rawiller is back in the saddle as well after missing last time out.

It’s the race we’ve all been waiting for, the $3 million Caulfield Guineas! There’s plenty of quality up and down the field, but I’ve got my eye on Warwoven. The colt is looking for the hat-trick of wins today after taking out the Group 2 Run To The Rose and then the Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes. It’s easy to see why he is the favourite, and the $2.20 that’s on offer is still okay, so grab it while you still can.

  • Satono Glow produced a strong finish to win at Flemington first-up and has since won a trial. She can build on her fresh victory in Race 6 at Randwick.
  • Get Ready Lass has the speed to overcome a wide draw and looks hard to go past in this field. She can prove too quick for her rivals in Race 6 at Eagle Farm.
  • Evaporate has a metro win at Sandown Hillside and has placed once this campaign. He can rise to the occasion at big odds in Race 9 at Caulfield.
