Quick Analysis:

Kicking the day off in Goulburn, Star Minerva looks pretty difficult to beat in my eyes. The mare is one-from-one in her career so far after breaking her maiden last time out at Kembla Grange. She was paying a whopping $81 to win that maiden, and we’re certainly not getting anywhere near that price this time out. The Ciaron Maher-trained 4YO looks prime to go back-to-back.

Quick Analysis:

I can’t see anyone other than the top-rated runner, Aubaine, winning this one. The gelding finally managed to break through for his maiden win last time out at Ballarat Synthetic, winning by over 3L as the even-money favourite. He books the services of Olivia East this time out, who brings a 2kg weight relief. They draw barrier four, which isn’t the worst, and they should easily manage the rise in class.

Quick Analysis:

In the final race of the day at Hawkesbury, Flight Of Power has caught my eye. There have already been a lot of scratchings, so there’s a field of just nine (at the time of writing). Flight Of Power is another that broke his maiden last time out, at this track as well. He finished strongly in that one, so I don’t think the extra 100m he gets today will be any trouble.

Stats and Insights

  • Kingsland draws to do no work and has placed twice from three runs this prep. He can continue his consistent form in Race 5 at Warwick.
  • The Local won at Goulburn on debut and comes from a respected stable. He can make it two wins from two as the very heavy favourite in Race 7 at Goulburn.
  • Artie Vainqueur led throughout for a dominant win at Warwick last start and should improve with that run under her belt. She is capable of going back-to-back in Race 8 at Warwick.
