Quick Analysis:

Fierceness is my top pick today in Taree. Matthew Smith has a lot of experience with Fierceness’s pedigree, and the gelding has an impressive career record of 15:4-2-3. A lot of that form has come of late as well. In his last five races, he has finished top-three in all of them, including three wins. There is some tough competition in this one, which is why we’re getting $3.50, but I still think he’ll be too difficult to hold out.

Quick Analysis:

In the final race today at Bathurst, I have my eye on the favourite, Hanuman. The 5YO has had a recent barn change which has produced some good results so far, and he is currently on a two-race winning streak after victories at both Bathurst and Wellington. His last win was in a BM66, and that’s the same level he lines up for again here. He gets in reasonably well at the weights as well, and there’s plenty of options from barrier three.

Quick Analysis:

I’m heading to the Sunshine Coast for my final best bet of the day with Till Dusk. There’s still a little bit of value around the mare, who is currently going around at each-way odds. We’ve already seen seven scratchings, so this is a field of just nine. She comes into this one in some form after winning last time out at the Gold Coast, and Archie McColm retains the ride, bringing a 3kg weight relief with him as well.

Stats and Insights

  • Ranarsson made a winning debut at Cranbourne and now steps down to non-metro grade. He can maintain his unbeaten record as the heavy favourite in Race 5 at Cranbourne.
  • Glory Mission is chasing a hat-trick after winning consecutive races at Launceston and Devonport Synthetic. He is capable of upsetting the favourite here in Race 7 at Launceston.
  • Oceanella is in excellent form after winning two races in a row at Mornington and Warracknabeal. She can extend her winning streak at almost double-digit odds in Race 8 at Cranbourne.
