Latin Lights looks good enough to claim back-to-back wins here in Ballina for Race 4. The mare broke her maiden last time out at Grafton with Andrew Mallyon in the saddle. Mallyon lines up once again here, and they draw reasonably well again. She was the favourite in that one, and lines up as the favourite again. The 58kg on her back isn’t the worst either.

You’ll have to call the manager about this price we’re currently getting for Karren, but she’s certainly one to include in wider exotics and multis, if that’s your thing. She kicked off her prep last time out with a second placing at Geelong, just 0.35L off the leader. With that run under her belt, Ethan Brown taking over in the saddle, and jumping from barrier three, I reckon she can go one better.

Finishing the day off in Cootamundra with Stormbringer in Race 7 for the Cootamundra Cup. The gelding has been performing pretty well as of late without breaking through for a win. This includes two thirds and a second in his last three runs. He has been showing he can mix it with some tough types, and looking at this field, he is certainly capable of putting them away on his day, especially with just 55kg on his back.
