Quick Analysis:

Pearl Pendant presents some decent value in my eyes, and the filly is currently going around at each-way odds. The 4YO is looking for back-to-back wins after breaking her maiden at Coffs Harbour last time out. She’ll have just 55kg on her back, which will really help her take advantage of the gun draw. There’s a lot to like, including the price.

Heading to Swan Hill now, and I’ll be on Fonn Power, who looks capable enough to topple the favourite, Verifier, today. The gelding has been there or thereabouts for the majority of this prep, including a win and two top-two finishes, one of which was last time out at Donald (by just 0.06L). Billy Egan takes over in the saddle, and the step up in distance looks ideal.

Quick Analysis:

Back to Taree for my final best bet of the day with Kurithea. The mare is another that’s going around at a good price, and she’s almost at each-way odds. She kicked off her prep last time out with a fourth placing at Hawkesbury, and her only career win has come when second-up. I also think the step up in distance is suitable, and Heavelon Van Der Hoven sticks.

Stats and Insights

  • Woodstock Rock won first-up this preparation at this track and finished second at Mackay last start. He can continue his strong form in Race 4 at Emerald.
  • Sundrop bolted in at Gundagai last start on a Heavy track and steps up in distance. She can score big in what looks like an open field in Race 4 at Leeton.
  • Melodee Rose resumes after a 20-week spell following a Soft-track win at Wangaratta. She can make a strong return in Race 6 at Leeton.
