Kicking off today in Kyneton, and I reckon Delivering can deliver at virtually each-way odds. This prep has been spaced out nicely for the gelding, and last time out at Geelong he finished a second placing. He sticks at the same BM70 level, and I think he is one that will see further improvement as he goes through this prep. Zac Moore was on board last time out, and he brings a 3kg weight relief as well.

Staying in Kyneton for the 2026 Kyneton Cup, and it looks like the money is coming in for Sun Gift, who started at around the $5.00 mark. The mare finished midfield last time out at Flemington in the Group 3 Tesio Stakes, but did have a solid second placing at Cranbourne the run prior. Billy Egan takes over in the saddle, and with just 54.5kg on her back from barrier two, she should go close.

Heading to Coffs Harbour for the last race of the day, and I have my eye on Star Of Winston. There have already been seven, yes, seven scratchings for this race, which means what could have been a field of 12 is now a field of 5. Every runner has their fair shot (according to the odds), but Star Of Winston’s recent form is too hard to ignore. The 4YO has two wins and one second in his last three runs. Jockey Grace Palmer also brings a 3kg weight relief.

  • Charka led throughout to win at Port Lincoln last start on a Soft track and now drops back in distance. She can continue her winning form in Race 3 at Port Lincoln.
