Sticking with the favourite, Ten Commandments, for the Sale Cup today. The gelding comes into this one in some form after two wins in his last five races. He is yet to place at Listed level from two attempts, but this one looks a lot easier than what he’s been racing in the past. With only 55.5kg on his back, he’ll be flying.

Heading to Port Macquarie now, and I think Putinacall is good enough to get the chocolates. The 3YO kicked off his prep last time at this track/ trip, which resulted in a third placing. I think he’ll be fitter for that run under his belt, and he comes in well at the weights, with just 55.5kg on his back. Drawing barrier nine isn’t the worst either.

Wrapping the day up in Sale with Bel Mezyaan. We haven’t seen the gelding since June, but has had two recent trials which suggest he is ready to kick things off with a win. It’s a big field for this BM70, but the 4YO has certainly competed in tougher races with some success. The booking of Daniel Stackhouse improves his chances as well.
