I’m sticking with the favourite in Race 5 today at Warrnambool. Kid Dynamite came extremely close last time out at this track/ trip, going down by just 0.02L, as a $4.60 chance. The 5YO has only seven career starts to his name, but has already won twice, and both those wins have come over 1,000m. Brad Rawiller is in the saddle once again, and the weight (61kg) is the same as last time out as well.

Quick Analysis:

Switching over to Albury now, and I like the look of Hazardous in Race 5. The filly will have a lot of options from barrier two, and she’ll be flying with just 55.5kg on her back thanks to apprentice jockey Cassidy Hill. This is only her second career run, but she backed up impressive trials with a maiden win on her first time of asking at Wodonga last time out. This race doesn’t look too out of her reach either.

Quick Analysis:

Ending the day in Cranbourne with Mainmankash. The top-rated runner will have to lug around 62kg, which is a big weight, but if anyone can do it, it’s Mainmankash. The 5YO has won two of his last four (with another top-three placing in there). He has drawn wide for a lot of races so far this prep, and this time out he gets a little bit of luck on his side, drawing barrier two.

Stats and Insights

  • Thunderous has recorded multiple wins at Gatton, including a victory at the track earlier this prep. He can add another win to his record in Race 5 at Gatton.
  • Veecee returns from a 30-week spell after finishing strongly to narrowly miss at Grafton last start. He can make an impact fresh at each-way odds in Race 6 at Kempsey.
  • Oh Pretty Emma placed as favourite at Gatton first-up. She’s capable of building on that return and proving hard to beat second-up in Race 8 at Gatton.
