Quick Analysis:

Karren is one-from-one in her career so far, but we haven’t seen the mare since December 2025. She’s had four trials in 2026, including two in March, and more recently, two in August. The work she’s been putting in at the trials has been impressive, and it would surprise me if she didn’t kick things off with a bang. The $1.60 on offer isn’t anything to write home about, so one for the multis.

Quick Analysis:

I tipped Prophet's Promise for the win at Moruya on August 28, but the gelding was scratched. I’ve been waiting to see where he would pop up again, and here we are! He still comes into this one in great form, winning two of his last three, and finishing second in the other race. Glenn Cahill retains the ride from last time out, and he brings a 2kg weight relief with him as well.

Quick Analysis:

There’s already been one scratching, so the first emergency, Andrea, is already set for this race. The gelding is also going around as the favourite in a decently sized field. With just 55.5kg on his back, I reckon the 4YO will be flying, and he brings back some city form to Tuncurry. Shannen Llewellyn is back in the saddle once again, and they’ll need a smidge of luck from barrier nine.

Stats and Insights

  • Chalice Well has won when fresh previously and drops back to non-metro company. She can make the class relief count in Race 3 at the Sunshine Coast.
  • Montresor won his only start at Beaumont and gets the ideal inside draw. He is the favourite for a reason in Race 3 at Goulburn.
  • Storming Home resumes from a 28-week spell after placing in a recent trial. She can make a strong return in Race 6 at the Sunshine Coast.
