Quick Analysis:

Secret Fenkel kicked his prep off last time out with a decent second placing at Doomben. It was a strong finish, and that makes me believe he’ll improve second up and break his maiden here at Ipswich. The wide draw doesn’t do him many favours, but he’s a speed guy and can overcome that. Ryan Maloney takes over in the saddle as well.

Quick Analysis:

Turning my attention to Kilmore now, and I like the look of Mosquito Award in Race 5. It’s currently a fairly even market, with plenty of runners around the $3.00 to $4.00 mark. She’s another one who kicked off her prep last time out, and I think she’ll be fitter for that run under her belt. After finishing mid-field at Werribee, she drops down to a BM56 today.

Quick Analysis:

Another race with plenty of live chances, but I think Yendy presents the best value, so I’m willing to take a chance on her. She has been fairly consistent so far this prep, but hasn’t broken through for that win yet. With back-to-back third placings, she looks ripe for a big run. She gets the blinkers on for the first time, and with Jett Newman still in the saddle, it could tip her over the edge.

  • Bahama Bay is chasing a hat-trick after back-to-back wins at the track. He looks a leading chance in Race 5 at Alice Springs.
  • Denman Bandit comes off a strong win and represents a good stable. He looks a leading chance in Race 5 at Gunnedah.
  • Magurtz draws ideally and can atone for finishing down the order last time out. He looks a leading chance in Race 7 at Gunnedah.
