Quick Analysis:

Starting at Warrnambool today, and I think Morgana shapes up to be a real contender. Her results on paper haven’t been the best, but she was competing at Group company. This race is a massive drop in grade, and she is one of the more favoured runners. She tackles this one third-up, and she has previously won third-up, where she led from barrier to post.

Quick Analysis:

Off to Coffs Harbour now, where I think Trounce can get the chocolates. The mare is coming into this one in some form after winning at Beaumont last time out as the favourite. She’s not the favourite in this one, but is still classy enough to get the job done at decent enough odds. Jockey Andrew Gibbons has been onboard for virtually every run with Trounce, and he lines up with the 4YO again.

It’s the biggest race of the day as we see the Group 2 Adelaide Cup run and won. It’s a massive field with a bit of quality, but I like what Berkeley Square brings to the table. He does have a fairly significant weight disadvantage, but is in winning form after getting the job done in Flemington last time out. Jockey Luke Nolen sticks with the gelding, and while the distance is a query, he is coming into this one with confidence.
