Quick Analysis:

It’s a bit of an open field in this one, but I have to stick with the favourite Villa Capitalista, who looks to be building nicely into this prep. Last time out, the gelding finished third in Ballarat, by just 0.41L. He made a heap of ground late in that one, so the extra 100m for this race looks ideal. I reckon he just needs even luck and he’ll be chalking up his first career win.

Heading over to Kembla Grange now, and I like the look of this New Zealand-bred mare. My Proclama has finished top-three in all five of her career starts to date, but hasn’t been able to break through for that elusive first win. She has certainly been a market mover in this one, and she’s got decent wet-weather form, so you cannot count her out.

Quick Analysis:

For my final best bet of the day, I’m sticking with the favourite, King Potter, who we haven’t seen racing in almost a year. His recent trial has the market (and me) pretty confident he can kick things off in a winning way. Draws barrier seven and could push to the front for a barrier-to-finish-post victory. He is good enough to win this comfortably.

Stats and Insights

  • My Uncle Did It has been competitive all prep and was placed as the equal favourite last start at Colac. She looks well-positioned to bounce back in Race 6 at Ararat.
  • Savvyrocker has been racing consistently this campaign and boasts a strong record at Taree. She looks well placed to take out Race 6 at Taree.
  • Audenzia has been in outstanding form this campaign with three wins and a third in four runs. She looks the one to beat in Race 7 at Kembla Grange.
