Quick Analysis:

For my first best bet of the day, I like the look of Devine Force. The mare ran a big race last time out at Cairns, but she faded to finish third after going around with odds of $7.00. That was on a Heavy-rated rate, and it looks like we might get more of the same again today. She has two placings from four runs so far this prep, and jockey Sean Cormack sticks.

Quick Analysis:

Heading over to Newcastle now, and Magical Moments looks the one to beat in Race 5. The market isn’t too sure about this one, and there are multiple runners in and around the $5.00 mark. Since joining the Mitchell Beer and George Carpenter stable, the mare has been in some decent form. This includes a win last time out at Kembla Grange. Looks to be a suitable race for the 4YO.

Quick Analysis:

Staying in Newcastle now for my final best bet of the day. In the last of the day, I have my eye on Regal Problem. The filly is racing back at non-metro grade, and she has already placed once so far this prep at Rosehill. It’s a decently sized field, but she’ll carry among the lowest weights on her back, and has a lot of options from barrier three. There’s a lot to like.

Stats and Insights

  • The Negotiator overcame the market to win last start at Pakenham and handles the track well. He’s in with a chance at decent enough odds in Race 5 at Pakenham.
  • Iowna Benz has two placings from three runs this prep and gets the winkers for the first time. She looks well placed in Race 5 at Wagga.
  • Electric Star returns from a 15-week spell and gets the blinkers for the first time. She looks a genuine contender in Race 8 at Pakenham.
