He broke his maiden last time out while jumping from a wide barrier. With a career record of 3:1-0-2 so far, he’s good enough to overcome this field.

Switching to Rosehill now, and I’ll be on Bev’s Nine for Race 5. The gelding is a perfect five from five so far in his career. This includes a win at this track and trip first up this prep. He backed that win up with another win last time out in Canterbury, over the same distance. James McDonald retains the ride, and they should be able to get the job done again.

For my final best bet of the day, I’ll be on Sister Shay. Basically half the field has already been scratched, and the market isn’t really sure who is going to win this one, which means there’s value to be found. Sister Shay comes into this one second up, where she holds a record of 2:1-1-0, and she gets a weight relief thanks to apprentice jockey Sarah Field.
