Quick Analysis:

Kicking things off in Ipswich today with Too Darn Quick. Like her name, it looks like things are progressing quickly for the filly who had just one trial before her first career attempt. That race was also at Ipswich, and she finished third, less than 2L off the leader. The rise in trip helps, and jockey Taylor Marshall retains the ride as well. They draw a decent enough barrier, so I’m expecting big things.

Heading over to Echuca now, and it looks like Forrest Gump does present a smidge of value currently going around the $4.60 mark. The gelding has recently switched stables, and has shown promising signs since, including a third (by 0.22L) two runs back, and then winning at Wodonga last time out to break his maiden. This race certainly isn’t out of his reach.

Wrapping things up in Grafton today with a runner that’s worth popping into a multi or some exotics. Brutal Miss is currently going around at $1.50, so it doesn’t exactly scream value, but I really can’t see any other runner taking this out. The filly draws barrier one, which just puts her over the top, and her two most recent runs have been in much harder company.

  • Why Me has been racing consistently this preparation and was only narrowly beaten as a favourite at Broome last start. He looks well placed to break through again in Race 4 at Broome.
  • What's The Point resumed with an impressive win at Broome and now drops back to non-metropolitan company. He looks the runner to beat in Race 5 at Broome.
  • Royaltown resumes from a spell after an impressive start to the career and has drawn ideally for the return. He looks well placed to make a winning comeback in Race 5 at Canberra.
