Quick Analysis:

Virtually every runner in this one is in single-digit odds, but I do like the value that Yes Siree presents. The gelding is currently at each-way odds, and if he races at his best, he is more than good enough to win this. Last time out was a second placing at Goulburn at the same level and distance he lines up for here. Winona Costin jumps into the saddle, which only improves his chances.

Quick Analysis:

Switching over to Swan Hill now, and I have an eye on Haaland. The barrier draw isn’t the worst, and the gelding gets a 3kg weight claim thanks to apprentice jockey Zac Moore. He comes into this one third-up after finishing fourth last time out at Mildura in a BM70. He drops down in grade for this one as well, and I think he’ll eat up the 2,400m that’s on offer.

Quick Analysis:

I’m back in Bathurst for the final race on the card, and I’m looking at De Joker to help me go out with a bang. The favourite does carry the top weight, but he was pretty impressive when breaking his maiden two runs back. Last time out, he finished third at Dubbo, just 0.66L off the leader. That was in a BM58, which is the same level he’ll be racing for this one as well.

Stats and Insights

  • Devine Outcast hit the line strongly first-up at Narrandera and looks suited stepping up in distance. She can pop up there at double-digit odds in Race 5 at Bathurst.
  • Fierce Dreams stormed home to score at Ballarat Synthetic last start and has now won twice this campaign. She can continue his winning form in Race 7 at Swan Hill.
  • Mr Butt's Boats has a previous win at Swan Hill and can improve on his latest performance back at a track that suits. He can bounce back with a competitive showing in Race 8 at Swan Hill.
