Quick Analysis:

With just 57.5kg on her back, I have to side with Baywatch for this one. She’s carrying the lightest weight, and I reckon she can topple the favourite. Take her at each-way odds at the very least. She certainly hasn’t set the world on fire so far this prep, but from barrier two and the weight, she’s worth the bet at around the $5.50 mark. Luke Currie will give her every chance.

Quick Analysis:

With a few scratchings, there are only eight runners in this one at Hawkesbury, and I’m sticking with the narrowest of favourites, The Replicant. On paper, he’s another one who hasn’t really done much, but I’m a sucker for another chance. He draws a lot better than his closest rival, and past form suggests he should be easily mixing it with this kind of company.

Quick Analysis:

Badgers Nuts carries the top weight for this one, but the old boy draws quite well, so the two offset each other. He comes into this one third-up and seems to be working through the gears nicely, including a third placing last time out. Danny Peisley steps into the saddle, and with the gelding going around at each-way odds, he’s worth a shout in my eyes.

Stats and Insights

  • Geegees Missile resumes from a spell with an outstanding record at Hobart and is ideally drawn to make an immediate impact. She looks the one to beat in Race 5 at Hobart.
  • Valley Star has produced consistent performances in all three career starts and continues to race with plenty of promise. He can upset the heavy favourite in Race 6 at Hobart.
  • Western Impact has been racing consistently this preparation and was only narrowly beaten at Carnarvon last start. He looks well placed to break through in Race 6 at Carnarvon.
