Quick Analysis:

Kicking the day off in Hawkesbury, and I think the favourite, Escargoes, is good enough to get the job done. He broke his maiden at this track and trip last time out in May, and should be going back-to-back today. Tommy Berry was on board for that win and the trial since then, and he takes the saddle once again. They draw barrier five as well, which isn’t the worst.

Quick Analysis:

At Taree, I think I’ve found some value with Antilopini in what shapes up to be a big field. She draws wide, but you can’t knock her form, winning last time out at Scone on a Heavy-rated track. I don’t think the extra distance she steps up to for this one is too challenging, and Kris Lees will have her in prime condition for this race. Take the $4.60 while it’s still available.

Quick Analysis:

Ending the day in Echuca, and I’ll be on Monix. It’s another big field, and the gelding gets no favours with the barrier draw, but he is a last-start winner at Swan Hill. He won that one by 2L, and this is practically the same distance. Brad Rawiller takes over in the saddle, and the 4YO will have to carry one of the heavier weights. He has enough skill to make it back-to-back wins.

Stats and Insights

  • Five Star King was heavily backed when placed at Mackay last start and gets another suitable opportunity here. He looks ready to return to winning form in Race 3 at Mackay.
  • She's Speedy has put together an excellent campaign with two wins and a second. She looks the runner they all have to beat in Race 6 at Mackay.
  • Cooranga broke through for a deserved maiden win at Albury and now looks ready to take the next step. He can pop up there at double-digit odds in Race 6 at Echuca.
