Quick Analysis:

Hoping to bag a winner early in the day at Kembla Grange before the track gets too chopped up. Not too concerned about the wide draw, especially considering this is only Race 2. We haven’t seen the 4YO since January, but he is coming off a hat-trick of wins to end his previous campaign, and has had to tick over trials recently. Two of his most recent wins have come at this track and trip.

Quick Analysis:

Sticking with the narrow favourite and top weight here in Race 4 at Moree. Power Of Success just missed as the favourite last time out, and I think he can redeem himself here, especially if he replicates his performance from two runs back, winning at Toowoomba. Jake Pracy-Holmes takes over in the saddle, and I think they’ll go close.

Quick Analysis:

My final best bet of the day comes at Echuca with Cortain. There’s a smidge of value around the gelding as well, and he should go close thanks to a kind draw. He finished second last time out at Echuca, and against this opposition, going one better is a real possibility. The 5YO is experienced enough on Heavy-rated tracks as well, with a record of 5:2-0-1.

Stats and Insights

  • Give Some Lip comes into this off a strong second placing at Mornington and represents the Reece Goodwin stable. That recent form makes him a leading contender in Race 4 at Echuca.
  • Presides resumed with a winning performance and now drops back to non-metro grade. With that fitness edge and class relief, he looks the horse to beat in Race 7 at Kembla Grange.
  • Kate's Tiara resumes from a lengthy spell and has shown ability in the past. If she returns near her best, she can be competitive at big odds in Race 6 at Moree.
