Quick Analysis:

Sticking with the favourite in Race 4 at Ascot today, as the $3.00 is still a smidge of value for He’s a Machino, in my eyes. He was building nicely into his prep, but met some stiff competition last time out at Group 2 level. This looks like a much easier race, so I’m expecting big things. Drawing barrier one is also a massive tick.

Quick Analysis:

I’m at Caulfield now, and I think Brave One can salute in Race 7. It’s a similar story as He’s a Machino, Brave One competed in a Group 3 last time out and drops back to a BM100, which he should find a lot easier. He has also drawn the inside barrier, and only has to carry 55.5kg on his back. A lot is working for him, including the price.

Quick Analysis:

Wrapping today up at Morphettville for the Group 1 The Goodwood, and it’s hard for me to go past Extragalactic. With just 50kg on her back (the lightest weight of them all), the filly will be flying. She’s been in red-hot form so far this prep, kicking things off with back-to-back wins, then last time out in the Group 2 Tobin Bronze Stakes, she finished second, less than a length off the leader.

Stats and Insights

  • Magical Moments was dominant last start and has been in strong form this campaign. She looks hard to beat in Race 5 at Kembla Grange.
  • Birdman has been in strong form this prep with multiple Group 2 wins. He looks a leading chance in Race 7 at the Gold Coast.
  • Kerguelen was solid last start and has already won at metro level this prep. He looks the one they all have to catch in Race 7 at Gosford.
