Quick Analysis:

I really can’t see anyone else other than Rich Star taking this out. The gelding already has three consecutive wins in a row, and has been progressing through the gears nicely. Last time out was a 1L+ win at Grafton. We haven’t seen him at Taree before, but it’s hard to knock that winning form. He should be winning this one from barrier four.

Quick Analysis:

Sticking with the favourite in Moe today. We haven’t seen the gelding for a couple of months, but he has had a tick over trial since then. Drawing barrier three, and the 3kg weight relief thanks to apprentice jockey Olivia East, puts me over the edge. He won’t have to do any work early, and I can’t see anyone else running over the top of him in the closing stages.

Quick Analysis:

Back to Taree for my final best bets of the day, and my money’s on On My Command. Gets absolutely no favours with the barrier draw, but she was pretty convincing in the way she broke her maiden in the first time of asking, with a 2.15L win. If she settles in well for this one, she’ll give them a sight down the straight. Watch for her late.

Stats and Insights

  • Bivacco has already won this prep and comes from the Ciaron Maher stable. He looks one of the main chances in Race 5 at Bathurst.
  • Tommy Flyer resumes from a spell and looks well placed fresh. He can upset the favourite in Race 7 at Bathurst.
  • M’Lady Rose has been competitive this prep and now gets the winkers removed. She looks hard to beat in Race 8 at Moe.
