Pro Aussie has been close so far this prep without breaking through, but I think it’s the gelding's time to shine today. Draws well (better than one of his main competitors), and Rhys McLeod, who was on board for the Swan Hill second placing two runs back, takes over in the saddle. He is yet to win on a Soft-rated track, but this looks too good to hold out.

I’m siding with St Faith's for this one over the favourite, Lord Remlap. St Faith's is already a winner this prep at Scone; she steps out to 1,100m for this one, which I think suits her well. Gets the services of Braith Nock for this one, and he should get a good run for her in transit from barrier three. A lot more value in my eyes compared to the favourite.

Quick Analysis:

Finishing the day off in Race 6 at Sapphire Coast, Hold My Drink is the one to be one in my eyes. He comes into this race as the favourite and has two seconds and a third so far in his four-run career. He faded last time out at Sapphire Coast to finish less than a length off the winner. Jack Martin sticks with him again here and gets another great chance for a win.

  • Little Cointreau just missed as a favourite when resuming at Barcaldine and gets a perfect draw here. He looks ready to go one better in Race 3 at Longreach.
  • Want To Be Proud has been consistent this prep and placed again last start at Barcaldine. He looks a strong chance in this field in Race 7 at Longreach.
