It’s quite an open field for this one, but with a couple of scratchings, I like the look of Vixenette. The mare comes into this one fourth up, and has finished second in this prep by just 0.82L, so there’s something in the tank with her. She hasn’t exactly had a lot of luck so far, so I’m banking on a smidge of fortune, and she’ll be right in there for this one.

I’m going to take a chance with Deep Pleasure at Warwick Farm today. She’s another who’s been there or thereabouts without managing to break through, and if she gets just a little bit of luck on her side, I reckon she’ll make the most of it. She’s been competing in more difficult races as of late, so it would really surprise me if she didn’t pop up here for this one.

For my final best bet of the day, I’m heading to Bunbury, and I’ve got American Image in my sights. The filly only just broke her maiden at Pinjarra last time out, and I think she’s good enough to go back-to-back here, especially with 3kg off thanks to apprentice jockey Jefferson Tsang. She has already finished second here at Bunbury this prep, so all signs are pointing in the right direction.
