Starting today in Flemington, Wonder Boy draws the inside barrier, so he gets the edge in my eyes. The gelding has been a consistent runner, especially this prep. He has two seconds and one win in his last three runs. Jockey Craig Newitt sticks with him here, and if the track stays in the Good range, that’ll only improve his chances.

While Jimmysstar does look good, I think Grafterburners presents a bit more value around the $6.00 at the time of writing. He hasn’t had the best of preparations for this one after being scratched at the barriers for The Galaxy, but his recent record in Queensland is too hard to ignore. A wet track shouldn’t be of any concern, and Zac Purton can get the job done.

Finishing up in Morphettville today, and Regal Secret presents a smidge of value. She finished midfield at this track last time out, but won her run before that (also at Morphettville). Seems to do a lot of her best work on Good-rated tracks, so hopefully it stays that way. If she can stay out of trouble from the wide barrier, she can give them a sight down the straight.
