Quick Analysis:

For the Group 1 Champagne Stakes, it’s hard to go past the favourite, Campione D’Italia. The colt is fresh off his maiden Group 1 victory in the Inglis Sires last time out at Randwick. The step up to 1,600m doesn’t look to be a problem, and the current track rating (Good4) only improves his chances. JMac sticks, and that should be yet another winning combination.

Quick Analysis:

Ten Deep comes into this one in some serious form, and she is weighted very well for this one. Her last two runs have been here at Eagle Farm and resulted in a second (by just 0.04L) and a first. Emily Lang, who was on board for that Eagle Farm victory, steps into the saddle again. The price is getting short enough for my liking, so get while the going is good.

Quick Analysis:

It’s the $5 million Quokka today in race 8 at Ascot, and I’ll be on Caballus, who brings Group 1 winning form into this one. We last saw the gelding back in early March, where he proved too good in the Newmarket Handicap, winning by 0.25L as a $19 chance. He gets no favours from the draw, but that makes the price a little more inviting. His class can get him over the line here.

  • Wonder Boy ran a solid race at big odds last start at Rosehill and has been consistent this campaign. He looks a leading contender in Race 6 at Mornington.
  • Coulter is chasing a hat-trick after back-to-back wins at Wyong and Kembla Grange. He looks the one they all have to beat in Race 7 at Kembla Grange.
  • Angel Capital has been consistent this prep and comes in off a recent trial. He looks well placed to run a big race in Race 9 at Randwick.
