Quick Analysis:

The Rosehill Guineas looks like a two-horse race, according to bookmakers at least. Autumn Boy and Observer are the only two runners going around with single-digit odds. I have to side with Chris Waller’s Autumn Boy, though. He comes into this one third up and finished second last time out. Not a lot went right in that race, and he draws better for this one with JMac sticking.

There is absolutely no value around this lady, but she is one to anchor your multis around for the day, I reckon, or look to see if bookmakers are offering some sort of promotion. Autumn Glow is the very clear favourite for the George Ryder Stakes, and boasts a 10:10-0-0. It’s not just that she’s winning, it’s the way she’s winning. She has a Winx factor about her, that’s for sure.

Quick Analysis:

For the William Reid Stakes at Caulfield, it’s hard for me to go past Jimmysstar. With back-to-back trial wins, the gelding looks prime for a victorious first-up run. We last saw Jimmysstar win the CF Orr Stakes, also at Caulfield, back in November. He draws barrier one, and you can expect his trademark last closing speed. The class runner in this Group 1 race.

Stats and Insights

  • Big Swinger resumes from an 11-week break and gets the blinkers off for the first time. He looks well placed in Race 5 at Caulfield.
  • Angel Ladder was narrowly beaten at big odds last start at Eagle Farm and has been competitive at metro level this prep. She looks a strong chance in Race 6 at Eagle Farm.
  • Exoflow improved into the run when resuming at Beaudesert and gets a favourable draw here. He looks hard to go past at decent odds in Race 8 at Gold Coast.
