Quick Analysis:

It’s a small field, and I’m sticking with the narrow favourite, New Pharoah, who won’t have to do any work from barrier one. The gelding is on the quick turnaround after a disappointing run last Friday. But he does come into this race in some decent form, including a win at Albury on a Soft track (which looks to be the case for this one as well).

Quick Analysis:

Staying in Inverell, and I like the look of Meddlesome, who’s another in good form. It’s a much bigger field, so we’re getting odds worth writing home about. The mare has back-to-back second placings and is knocking on the door of a win. Ben Looker, who has been on board for those two seconds, sticks, and they get in well at the weights.

Quick Analysis:

Switching over to Canberra for the final race of the day, and Teylu is the one to be on in my eyes. The current favourite kicked off this prep with back-to-back second placings, by just 0.21L and 0.09L. He didn’t produce last time out in Canberra, but he is certainly worth forgiving. Pierre Boudvillain has been on board this entire prep and sticks again.

Stats and Insights

  • Piston Rebel finished strongly to win again last start and now chases a hat-trick after back-to-back Ipswich victories. He presents value at double-digit odds in Race 5 at the Gold Coast.
  • Amleto hit the line strongly first-up on heavy ground and has a solid record when well supported in betting. He looks the one to beat in Race 6 at Pakenham.
  • Captain Eagle drops back to non-metro grade after competitive runs in stronger company this prep. He can go on with it here in Race 7 at Kilcoy.
