Desanto books her spot in this field thanks to a scratching, and at the $6.00 mark, she presents decent value. You can take her each-way, or go for the straight-out win. She is a last-start winner over the track and trip with Taylor Marshall in the saddle. Marshall lines up again today, and the pair will have enough options from barrier six.

Quick Analysis:

Heading to Flemington now, and I like the look of Deal Done Fast. The colt has been competing in some really tough races as of late, including the Australian Derby and Rosehill Guineas (both Group 1s). He didn’t make a mark in those races, but he wasn’t disgraced either. The St Leger looks to be somewhat of an easier task, and I expect he’ll be right in the finish.

For the last of the day at Randwick, Fiddlers Green looks to be the one to beat. He’s offering up decent odds in a big field, and he has won two of his last three races. He tends to do his best work at Warwick Farm, but I’m willing to take a chance on him considering who he’s up against. Gets some weight relief thanks to Braith Nock as well.

Stats and Insights

  • World’s My Oyster returns off a very strong previous campaign and has an excellent record at the track. She can make her presence felt at great odds in Race 4 at Morphettville.
  • Heart And Spirit has been ultra-consistent at this track and continues to perform well. She shapes as a genuine danger in Race 4 at Sunshine Coast.
  • Royal Toronado is chasing a hat-trick after back-to-back wins and looks well placed to continue the run. He is the one to beat in Race 6 at Ascot.
