Quick Analysis:

After racing amongst some stiff competition, Totoka dropped back to provincial grade last time out at this same track and bagged the win. She has a good record at Wyong, and I think she’ll be able to add to it again today. Jockey Lee Magorrian sticks, and the pair draw barrier five, which certainly isn’t the worst. Has the weight advantage over some of her tougher opponents as well.

Quick Analysis:

Switching over to Bendigo now, and I think there’s still a smidge of value to be had with Brillantezza, who is currently going around at the $3.70 mark. She’s been performing well enough so far this prep, but would probably like another win under her belt, like she did to kick off this campaign. The distance should suit her, and she gets in well at the weights. Billy Egan has been on board this entire prep, and he lines up again.

Quick Analysis:

Ending the day in Casino, and there’s value around Secret Keeper in my eyes. The gelding kicked off this prep last time out with a second placing at Port Macquarie. He does tend to perform well when liked in the market, and he gets a 2kg weight relief thanks to apprentice jockey Grady Spokes, as well. Barrier six isn’t the worst, and if they can find a good settling position, they’ll be in it right at the end.

Stats and Insights

  • Gambino was narrowly beaten at the Gold Coast last start and looks well suited dropping back in grade. He gets a great opportunity to return to the winner's stall in Race 4 at Ipswich.
  • Metal Man charged home when narrowly beaten first-up on the Gold Coast and now drops to a more suitable grade. He’s the deserved favourite in Race 6 at Ipswich.
  • Old Mate Henry drops back to non-metro grade and looks ideally placed against this opposition. He rates well at each-way odds in Race 7 at Northam.
