Quick Analysis:

Starting the day in Randwick today, and there are certainly a lot of life chances in this one, but the runner I keep coming back to is Trapalanda. He finished second first-up at Warwick Farm, just 0.61L off the leader, and last time out was a terrible ride. The 5YO gets the services of Zac Lloyd, which is a big tick, and the pair jump from barrier one, so there’s a lot to like.

Quick Analysis:

With the scratching of Call Da Vinci, Montpellier is now the highest-rated runner in this one. The gelding is one of the more favoured runners, but still presents a smidge of value around the $3.80 mark. The 4YO finished mid-field last time out at Rosehill. That run was first-up, so I’m expecting some improvement with that run under his belt. He is already a winner when second-up as well.

Quick Analysis:

Closing the day out at Caulfield with the Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes. It’s a small field, and I’m sticking with the narrowest of favourites, Cosmic Crusader. It may be one to sit and watch the odds, as things may change closer to the jump. We haven’t seen the gelding since December, but his last prep was quite impressive. We saw him in a recent jump-out to get him ready for this, and his first-up record sits at 5:3-0-0.

  • Silver Chaos has been racing in excellent form this preparation and is perfectly drawn to enjoy the run of the race. She looks the runner to beat in Race 4 at Morphettville.
  • Thrash A Bully is chasing a hat-trick after consecutive wins and has an outstanding record at the Gold Coast. She looks the runner to beat in Race 5 at the Gold Coast.
  • Honey Perfume has been in excellent form this preparation and looks well placed back in this grade. She shapes as the runner to beat in Race 8 at Kembla Grange.
