Quick Analysis:

The day for me begins in Dubbo, and I think I’ve found a smidge of value with Glowing Rapids. The gelding is tackling this one first-up and is looking for back-to-back wins after ending his last prep with a win at Cowra. He has trialled recently at this track, which resulted in a win, which is hopefully a good indication of things to come. The 5YO also gets a 1.5kg weight relief thanks to apprentice jockey Gabrielle Johnston.

Quick Analysis:

Turning my attention to Coffs Harbour now, and Baby Ryan looks like the one to be on. The gelding has a strong record here at Coffs Harbour, with a win and second placing back in late April and early May. He hasn’t done much in his last two runs, but I think being back at Coffs Harbour can really turn things around. Raymond Spokes was on board for the win at Coffs Harbour and retains the ride.

Quick Analysis:

For my final best bet of the day, I’m back in Dubbo, and Oakfield Utah is good enough to overcome the wide draw in Race 7. The 3YO looks well set up for a bounce back performance after heading out for a spell without doing much last prep. Before that, we did see him get back-to-back wins at Taree and Tamworth. Aaron Bullock steps into the saddle, and this one looks like slightly easier competition.

Stats and Insights

  • Billie The Great was unlucky not to win last start after starting as the equal favourite and has already scored at metro level this campaign. She can make amends in Race 6 at Devonport Synthetic.
  • Shaula has been racing consistently in stronger metro company and brings solid recent form into this assignment. He looks ready to cash in with a winning performance in Race 6 at Bunbury.
  • Nordic Strike has shown plenty of ability and can overcome the wide draw with his early speed. He looks well placed to return to the winner's circle in Race 7 at Sale.
