After a hat-trick of placings at metro level, I think Our Justify looks ready to break through for her second career win. She was the favourite last time out, and went down by just 0.75L, and she has favouritism here once again. We’re getting better odds for her this time, and she’ll have to overcome the wide draw, but with regular rider Craig Newitt in the saddle again, she should be too hard to hold out.

It’s a pretty open field for this one, so we’re getting some decent enough value for the gelding. Best Coffee is already a multiple winner this prep, and he has a placing here at this track as well. He finished middle of the pack last time at this track and trip, but he drops down in grade for this one. With an easier assignment on the cards, he is good enough to take this one out.

Quick Analysis:

For my final best bet of the day, I’ve landed on Eternal Wine. The mare’s prep has been spaced out well, and she drops back to non-metro grade for this one after finishing mid-field last time out. Before that run, she had back-to-back placings. Based on form, she should be winning this one fairly easily; she’ll just have to contend with the wide-ish barrier.

Stats and Insights

  • Capture Me has produced two strong placings this prep and looks well suited after another solid effort in metro company. He can return to winning form in Race 6 at Illawarra Grange.
  • Fiftyfivechevy was narrowly denied as the favourite first-up at Moruya and should take improvement from that return. He looks ready to go one better in Race 8 at Illawarra Grange.
  • Scruffy has been holding her form well this preparation and looks well placed after another solid effort last start. She can go one better in Race 9 at Gatton.
