There are plenty of live chances in this one, but I have to side with Generous Harry. We haven’t seen the gelding since February, but he has had two recent trials to get him ready for this one. Matt Kirk steps into the saddle, and he brings a decent 4kg weight relief as well. He is already a winner at this level (BM64) and has a record of 8:2-2-0 on Good-rated tracks.

Sticking with the narrowest of favourites, Moroccan Wind, for this one on the Sunshine Coast today. The gelding is on the short seven-day back-up after finishing second at this track and trip last time out. The 4YO has multiple placings so far this prep, and this looks like a great opportunity to notch up another career win. He draws well, and Jake Bayliss sticks.

Ending the day in the final race at Sandown Lakeside with Cinturato.There are only seven runners left in this field, and Cinturato looks like the one they all have to beat. He has success at this track, with two recent second placings, including last time out. While he doesn’t have as much experience as some of the others in this one, he does look up to the challenge.

  • Dawn On Me has won two of four starts this prep and looks well placed, dropping back to non-metro company. She can prove hard to hold out in Race 4 at Forbes.
