Quick Analysis:

I think Phoenix Power is good enough to give the favourite a run for her money in Taree today. The gelding has been close so far this prep without breaking through for a win. He comes into this clash third-up and should be fitter for those previous runs under his belt. Kacie Adams gets another chance in the saddle, and he has already placed in just two attempts on a Heavy-rated track.

Quick Analysis:

Heading over to Gosford for my next best bet of the day. Pazyryk is the favourite in a small field, and the filly managed to break her maiden last time out at this track and trip. She draws barrier two, which improves her chances and gets back to her own sex for this one. There’s a lot to like, and I think the price we’re getting for the 3YO is fair enough.

Quick Analysis:

Ending the day in Sale, and it’s hard for me to go past Loft Thoughts. The gelding is the favourite, but I think there’s still a smidge of value around him. I wouldn’t want him to get any shorter, though. The 3YO finished strongly last time out in Murray Bridge to finish third, just 0.29L off the pace after drawing wide. He gets a slightly better draw this time, and in this company, he should be getting the chocolates.

  • Barraquito broke through with an impressive maiden victory at Northam and looks capable of going on with it. She shapes as the runner to beat in Race 7 at Northam.
  • Cosmic Spirit resumes after a long spell chasing a hat-trick following consecutive wins before the break. She looks capable of making a winning return in Race 8 at Northam.
  • Don't Touch has been in outstanding form with back-to-back wins and led throughout in dominant fashion last start. She looks capable of making it three straight in Race 8 at Rockhampton.
