Quick Analysis:

For my first best bet of the day, I have my money on No Greater Vue. The gelding is currently the favourite, but still presents some value in my opinion. We last saw him finish second at this track and trip, by just 0.75L, and I think he is primed to go one better despite the wide draw. Barrier 12 might actually play in his favour, as he could set the tone and give them something to catch down the straight.

Quick Analysis:

I do like what Deep Stealth has been doing lately. She’s had a few good results on Heavy-rated tracks this prep, including a win and two second placings (one of which came here at this track). This one looks to be a Heavy-rated track as well, and she still presents value in a fairly open field. Gets in light at the weights, and will hopefully be able to stay out of trouble from barrier six.

Quick Analysis:

Castlejohn draws the widest barrier of them all, but from the speed he’s shown previously, I think he’s good enough to overcome that. We haven’t seen the 4YO since April, but he has had two recent tick-over trials. He’s already a winner first-up, and this looks like a fairly easy way to kick off this new campaign. Chad Schofield, who was on board for both trials, saddles up again here.

Stats and Insights

  • Knowitall Frank drops back to non-metro company and showed enough when resuming with a placing. He looks well placed to make his class count in Race 6 at Dalby.
  • Delicate Ruler boasts an excellent record at Broome and has won twice from five starts this campaign. He can continue his strong local form in Race 6 at Broome.
  • Immortal Storm has won twice this campaign and gets an ideal draw to secure a soft run. He can take full advantage of the favourable setup in Race 7 at Ballina.
