Quick Analysis:

Adira River comes in light at the weights and the filly has been in good form so far this prep. She didn’t like the 2,500m that she had to tackle last time out, so the drop in trip to 2,000m should suit her very well. Going back to non-metro grade will also be a big help, and she’s good enough to get the win in what looks like an open field in Race 4 today.

Quick Analysis:

Switching over to Wyong now, and I have my eye on Tigroni, who broke her maiden in dominant fashion last time out. That win was by over 2L, and she comes into this one as the favourite as well. Zac Lloyd, who was on board for the win at Gosford, saddles up again. He’ll have his work cut out for him from the wide barrier, but the filly does have the speed to offset that.

Quick Analysis:

Inception could be a real danger in the last race of the day at Wyong, and at around the $5.00 mark, I’m willing to take a chance on him. The distance in this one suits him a lot more than what he has been racing in previously. Ashley Morgan hops back into the saddle, and the pair finished second earlier this prep. Take him to win or each-way if you want to play it safe.

Stats and Insights

  • Brazen Butcher returns to non-metro company after competing in stronger races and already has a win this prep. He has the credentials to be highly competitive in Race 1 at Northam.
  • Sephia resumed with a strong second at Geelong and should take improvement from that first-up effort. She looks the runner to beat in Race 6 at Warrnambool.
  • More Heroic was narrowly denied as a well-backed favourite last start and represents the in-form Michael Grantham stable. He looks capable of getting the chocolates in Race 8 at Northam.
